Privacy Policy

Extra Watts B.V. (Herengracht 420, 1017 BZ Amsterdam, Netherlands) operates this website and the Pearl Safe mobile app. We are the controller for the limited personal data described below, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The short version

• This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
• We do not load fonts, scripts or images from third-party networks.
• The Pearl Safe app requires no account.
• If you join the beta list, we store your email address and the date you joined. Nothing else.
• We have never sold personal data and we will not.

This website

The site is static and is served from Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and no other client-side storage except one entry recording whether you chose dark or light mode, which stays in your own browser and never reaches us.

Cloudflare processes your IP address transiently in order to deliver the page and to protect against attacks, as any web host must. We do not receive an analytics report, a visitor log or a profile from this. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The beta waiting list

If you submit the form we store your email address and a timestamp in a database operated by Cloudflare in its global network. We do not store your IP address, browser, referrer or any identifier alongside it.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving alternative to a CAPTCHA. It is the only third-party component on this site, it loads only on the pages carrying the form, it does not track you across websites and it is not used for advertising.

• Purpose: to tell you once the beta opens.
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form.
• Retention: until you ask us to remove it, or until the beta programme ends, whichever comes first. If the programme is cancelled we delete the whole list.
• Recipients: nobody. The list is not shared, sold or exported.

The Pearl Safe app

The app needs no account and we do not operate an advertising or analytics SDK inside it. We never receive your private keys, your recovery phrase, or any share of your key in a form we could use — this is a property of how the app is built, described on the a design choice rather than merely a policy.

Using the app necessarily involves talking to the Pearl network and to data providers in order to show balances and broadcast payments. Those requests carry your IP address to whoever answers them, as any network request does. Blockchain transactions are public and permanent by design, and nothing we do can make an on-chain payment private.

If you choose to enrol in recovery, our recovery custodian Turnkey (Turnkey Global, Inc., United States) processes your email address and phone number in order to verify those channels during a recovery. Transfers outside the EEA rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@pearlsafe.xyz. For the beta list, asking us to delete your address is enough and we do not ask why.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top, and we will email the beta list if the change affects data we already hold.
